A new neurology board has been created to provide support for chiropractors and researchers interested in advanced neurology studies. The new group will be called the International College of Chiropractic Neurology and will be a home for the credentials of board certified neurologists. All board certified chiropractic neurologists are invited to participate regardless of designation.
Hallmarks of the new group will be the use of the internet to network the diplomates in a meaningful and cost effective way. Due to the increasing cost of travel and decreasing provider reimbursement, attainment and maintenance of a diplomate designation has become increasingly more difficult. The use of the internet for training and interaction will significantly reduce cost. Cost savings will be passed along to the membership.
ICCN will use the web to connect its diplomates for support and interaction. As this site is developed, a password protected area will allow diplomates to share neurology questions and solutions.
Business of the College will be handled in an online forum to ensure maximum member involvement and transparency of the leadership.
Categories for membership include board certified neurologists and researchers. Chiropractic physicians interested in advanced neurology may join as affiliate members. A category of membership is available for chiropractic college students with an interest in advanced neurology studies.
Cost of membership includes $100 per year for board certified neurologists and researchers. This is a full membership that includes voting priveliges. Affiliate members join $50 per year and chiropractic college students may join for $25.00 per year. A $25.00 non-refundable application fee is applied for all membership categories.
ICCN is prepared to maintain board certification currency for those diplomates where currency is preferred. At present we have members with ACAN, ACNB and IBCN board certifications.
This will be a member centered group, focusing on the needs, goals and vision of the membership. Feedback will be by member survey and there will be discussion threads where diplomates can interact.
Categories for membership include those who are diplomates or fellows, affiliate members for chiropractic physicians and chiropractic college students with an interest in advanced neurology studies.
Please keep an eye on this website for updates on the College.
